2021 Autumn Holiday.
The 2021autumn holiday was 5-day coach trip to Tenby, Saundersfoot & Gower.
DAY 1: (Monday 25th Oct)
Having joined our tour coach in Derby we were introduced to our tour manager Aidan Biggiins and our driver Kevin. Our journey to south Wales started with a coffee break at the Hopwood services on the M42 and then lunch in Hereford where some of the party trook the opertunity to visit the Cathederal.
Following the lunch break we traveled on via the heads of the valleys road to our hotel in Carmarthen where we were greeted with Welsh cakes and tea or coffee before settling in to our rooms prior to dinner.
DAY 2: (Tuesday 26th Oct)
Following an excelent breakfast we departed at a comfortable start time of 9.30 to visit Saunderfoot for site seeing and coffee and then we traveled on to Tenby for our lunch break.
In the afternoon we traveled on via Pendine Sands for a short visit to Laugharine the former home of Dylan Thomas.
We returned to the hotel in time to relax prior to dinner.
DAY 3: (Wednesday 27th Oct)
After another comfortable start at 9.30 we visited Mumbles for our morning coffee break.
We the proceeded on to Swansea for lunch and sight seeing or shopping.
The afternoon was taken up with a trip round the Gower Peninsula with short stop at Rhossili Bay.
After returning to the hotel for dinner with some entertainment to complete the evening.
Unfortunate the evening was rather spoilt by our tour manager slipping on the stairs and injuring his leg requiring him to have to go to hospital for investigation and xray.
Day 4: (Thursday 28th Oct)
The main feature of Thursday's outing was a visit to St David's with time to visit the Cathedral
Following the visit to St David's the tour continued throug the Pembroke Coast National Park which was spoilt by poor weather.
Day 5: (Friday 29th Oct)
We returned to Derby with a stop inLeominster for lunch and site seeing.
The holiday was rarther spoilt by the dull weather.
