Mark Dawson Mark gained his PhD from the University of Nottingham fir hid study of the food and drink in a gentry household in the 16th Century and has continued to research, write about and give talks about the history of food and drink for the last 20 years. He is on the organizing committee of the Leeds Symposium of Food History and Traditions, regularly speaking at the Symposium. |

Simon Topman Simon holds the MBE, is the CEO of Acme Whistle Co and Deputy Lieutenant West Midlands. He is co-author of a highly regarded book on Collecting Police Whistles and Similar Types and currently Chairman of the British Hallmarking Association. He has undertaken many other roles, including a number of Government positions on Better Regulation agenda. |

Past, Present and Local Robert Mee Robert holds an MA in English Local History and has conducted several research projects around Heanor and along the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border. He writes for local magazines and newsletters, has written two books on the Heanor/Langley Mill area and manages the website for a Local History Society. |
